Nike Cortez. I’m a fan.
First of all, I like their 70’s vibe (they were released for the first time in 1972), I guess. But it’s more than (just) that: they are elegant and cool — the kind of design that never gets old — and, last but not least, I find them pretty comfortable and adjustable to my routine in town — I know, they are meant to sports, but this is how I prefer to wear them.
Not so long ago I bought a new pair, but when a classic reborns one must be prepared to be tempted. So now I’m craving Nikelab Cortez ’72 — the white ones, above, restyled after the original model should be launched on September 24 (only on Nikelab website and stores) — and the new line Nikelab Cortez Textil, on top — all the five colors look great and I truly appreciate how they have managed to combine waxed suede, nylon and bombazine keeping its thin silhouette and adding a 3D logo. This model is already on sale.
Well, I think you can never have too many Cortez, right?

Ainda não há muito tempo comprei um par, mas já estou novamente tentado a aumentar a coleção. Tudo isto porque a Nikelab resolveu relançar o ténis icónico, um clássico intemporal de 1972, em duas versões muito bem conseguidas a meu ver. A primeira, que podem ver em cima, foi batizada de ’72 por se tratar de um restyling do modelo original — disponível nas lojas e no site da Nikelab a partir de 24 de setembro. A segunda, a linha Textil (no topo), já está à venda em cinco cores e mistura, sem comprometer a silhueta fina caraterística, camurça oleada, nylon e bombazina com o logo em 3D.
O que eu aprecio neste modelo, apesar de ter sido concebido primeiramente para a prática desportiva, é como se adapta à minha rotina na cidade, justamente por ser muito confortável. Depois tem um formato elegante, é cool, versátil e, por mais que seja atualizado, não perde a sua vibe 70’s.
Gosto. Gosto tanto que a família Cortez deve aumentar em breve cá por casa.
